COMMONWEALTH VS. KEVIN ANTHONY DAVIS
JEFFERSON CIRCUIT COURT CASE NO. 19CR1007
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (3/2/2026): Louisville’s Chief Prosecutor, Commonwealth’s Attorney Gerina D. Whethers, shared today that KEVIN ANTHONY DAVIS was sentenced on Monday, March 2, 2026, on 20 counts of Possession or Viewing of Matter Portraying a Sexual Performance by a Minor.
After the jury in his case found him guilty of all his crimes on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, they recommended a 15-year prison sentence for DAVIS. At his sentencing hearing on March 2, DAVIS had requested probation. However, the judge in this case not only denied the defendant’s motion for probation, but she also increased his penalty to the maximum of 20 years.
The jury had previously found DAVIS guilty after hearing witness testimony and evidence of the following:
- On or about March 26th, 2019, Kentucky State Police executed a search warrant at the residence of the Defendant. They located a laptop that was found to have hundreds of images and videos depicting Child Sexual Abuse Material. Defendant gave a recorded statement where he said he was the one who downloaded the material and that he was sorry. He was charged with 20 counts of Possession of Matter Portraying a Sexual Performance by a Minor.
Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorneys Andrew Reinhardt and Morgan Profumo were the prosecutors on this case.
